Let’s sew a super easy scarf. This project will take you less than 30 minutes! All you need are a few items, see below:
Materials
- Fabric – I am sewing with a jersey knit
- Scissors
- Pins
- Thread
- Sewing Machine
Step 1: Measure the length and width of the desired size scarf (long rectangular shape).
Add 1 inch seam allowance.
Step 2: Cut material (your desired length & width)
Step 3: Pin and sew around edges (wrong side of fabric), about 5/8 seam allowance. Leave a 3 inch hole, in order to flip to (right ride) of fabric.
Step 4: Turn Fabric to the right side of fabric. Should look like a long tube.
Step 5: Sew hole closed.
Voila! Scarf complete, quick and simple! I love a great scarf. This DIY can be used as an interchangeable waist belt. I wore my scarf / waist belt with my custom pencil dress. Check out pencil dress here and a few ways to tie a scarf here.
Love & Blessings,
