Hours before a historic blizzard, excited customers came to the library to engage in a creative sewing collective. Women from age 11 to 60 learned how to do a basic running stitch, whipstitch, sew a button and hidden note. The majority of participants completed their eyeglass cases. They were proud to have made an artistic case that is used daily.

 Sewing and Crafts workshops will be held monthly at Lamond Riggs Library.  Each workshop will build on skills learned and create a new sewing project or craft to take home that day.  Our next sewing class will take place on February 18, 2016 at 7pm for teen & adults, and February 27, 2016 sewing for kids ages 5 and up.
