I had the opportunity to sew and design a dress for a beautiful young lady. She was planning to be a bridesmaid in her sister’s wedding. The bridesmaids were given the option to wear any style dress, as long as they stayed within the color and theme.
We started the dress as a long one shoulder gathered waist dress. The original dress called for about five yards of fabric plus lining.
During one of our dress fittings, we decided that the fit was not as flattering and we would like a change of style. I opted to keep the one shoulder and change the bottom to a slim fitting wrap style. I loved the outcome of the final dress. The dress can definitely be worn again to a cocktail or evening event. Very beautiful and classy!!
