Thursday February 18, 2016, ladies and a few gentlemen attended the Sewing & Crafts Workshops. The attendees had various skill levels, some were advanced and others it was their first time sewing. We had some new and returning students that were excited about creating their very own project. The sewing participants’ selected fabric and sewed a medium-sized clutch bag. The bag can be used for a makeup case, feminine products and pencil-case or to carry your everyday items, like a wallet and glasses case.
I truly enjoy teaching these ladies and gentleman sewing skills that they can use in their everyday life. It is a wonderful skill to know how to sew a button and hem a pair pants. The participants that attended the class truly enjoyed community building, conversation and creating their very own craft!
Thank you to all of the participants who have joined the sewing collective. Please join us for our next workshop on March 17, 2016. See you soon!
