Biking around Brooklyn exploring the zest of the city wearing a custom-made denim A-line skirt. The neighborhood is full of colorful murals, culture, history, beautiful people and great energy. There are so flavors to discover. Biking is a great way to take in all the sites, exercise, feel the breeze, have fun and of course transport yourself to your location.

Visit the Cinema Fest and watch a few documentaries and explore the area. Change the afternoon look to a casual evening style, by adding a pop of color and wedges. Then catch up with friends for dinner at a nearby restaurant. Fort Green area is a gem of Brooklyn. I had a ton of fun. There is a small Spanish tapas restaurant, which reminded me of the flavors of Spain. Also, the color green is one of my favorite colors that I can wear everyday.
Casual Custom Denim Skirt with Tie and Pockets.
As I rode around the city with the wind flowing on my skin, I wore a mid length A- line denim skirt. The skirt is comfortable, casual and easy for movement. I used Simplicity pattern 1887 as a guide to sew my skirt. I added a few inches to lengthen the skirt to make a knee length skirt, giving a more conservative style. The flat sandals and basic white T – Shirt are great for casual style. Take your look from day to evening, for a casual evening dinner or stroll around town. I wore tan wedges and a olive green bodysuit with denim skirt. A bonus of the skirt is that it has pockets and easy to sew!
I love the texture of the brownstones and neighborhood restaurants with rich selections of cuisines. You may find me exploring the city this summer wearing my custom denim skirt.
